When my beloved Samsung player finally bit the dust, I snagged my husband's walkman to listen to my audio books.I soon found that the walkman is not for books.It constantly turns itself on in my purse so when I go to use it the battery is low and I am hopelessly lost because it is somewhere far ahead of me in the book.It doesn't have the ability to create bookmarks and also loses it's place when you charge it.I thought that it must be something that I was doing so I did a chat with Sony support tonight.The person I got had to be messing with me.She kept asking me to repeat the problem,left me sitting for long periods of time only to come back and restate my question incorrectly.I was asking for info on bookmarking and controlling the power and she was telling me that I had to create a playlist in Windows Media Player.WHY???The books download and play perfectly (even when I am not listening).The player is brand new because DH never used it but I will still be buying another Samsung player because this one is driving me crazy.
